Macbook 2015 corrupted boot after fresh OS install

I have a 2015 macbook pro that for some reason was giving me the corrupt OS icon on boot. I couldn't get into internet recovery and the only thing that works so far is booting into a boot drive. So I wiped the internal SSD and reinstall macOS and now whenever it boots. It goes back into the corrupt boot icon. Any ideas?

It sounds like it may be a bad hard drive. Run Disk Utility > First Aid from your boot drive on your internal SSD. If it reports errors run it a few times until it is either repaired or it reports could not be repaired.
