iMac not booting

I have a 2014 27" iMac.

Yesterday our office lost power for the day, although it went off and on 3 times in short succession first then off for 9 hours.

Today I came in to work and turned on my iMac, which had been on at the time the power went off, and heard the chime as normal, then the progress bar started loading on the screen and when it completed the iMac just turned back off again. I did this about 3 times and nothing changed.

I googled the issue and found a few recommendations for similar problems to rest the PRAM and also the SMC and I've done both a couple of times with no luck.

Has anyone else had a similar issue and got any suggestions as to what it could be? And any suggestions what I can try to do, desperate to get it working in the morning again?
