Bookmarks disappeared after 11.0.3 update

Some of my Safari bookmarks have disappeared after updating to 11.0.3 (on iPad mini) overnight.

Not all - just the ones in subfolders. The subfolders still show up, but they’re empty now. How can I get the. bookmarks back?
