Private folder in external drive

I migrated old iMac to a new iMac. While it was migrating I had my external drive attached to the old machine. I am using the external drive for down internet files and also FCPX project files. I noticed a private folder appeared,

I called apple and they said its OK to delete,  but I could not

What amazes me that when I dosconnect the external drive the private folder is no longer in the trash.

Please help.
