Password not recognized

Can't signin to my iMac, OS X 10.12.6: password not recognized!

I do not want to change my password. The password is OK.

With the help of my backup iMac, I finally figured it out: the problem is the keyboard!

One of the keys used in my password no longer works!

I temporarily connected the keyboard from the backup machine and all's well.

So I'll be looking for a new keyboard... (Sigh...)
