How do you set up events to repeat every 3 Tues...

I cannot see how to establish a repeating event for a specific day in the month, for example every 3rd Tuesday from Calendar for iPad. It is easy to do it from Mac OS calendar

Is this a bug?

Or am I missing something?

Set up the event for a Tuesday, then select for it it to repeat every 3 weeks.

It can't be done from your iPad, however you can set the event in your iCal on your Mac by selecting Custom in repeat and then you can sync that back to your iPad.

Sadly not but would be a nice feature.

There is an app (or apps) that will allow you to set up more complex repeats than the built in Calendar app. Sorry, don't remember the name but I'm sure some time searching the app store would turn up something.

There are only limited manual options for repeat on iOS calendar if you enter your appointment manually.  A workaround is to use Siri.  Siri can set appointment repeats any way you desire (every other day, every three days, every three weeks, every 5 months, etc)

It seems that setting up a monthly repeat like "every 3rd Tuesday" is much more common than "every month on the 18th." Strange they only allow the latter option on iPhone/iPad.

Setting it up on my iMac and then letting it synch with my iPad and iPhone worked for me.  Mahalo...

1.)  Create the first occurrence in the calendar (or edit an existing one)

2.)  Select "Repeat"

3.)  Select "Custom"

4.)  Set "Frequency" to "Monthly"

5.)  Set "Every" to "Month"

6.)  Set "Frequency" to "Monthly"

7.)  Instead of using "Each", select "On the..."

8.)  Select "first", "second", "third", " fourth", "fifth" or "last"

9.)  Select the day of the week.

10.) Back out of this screen by selecting "< Repeat" at the top left corner of the screen

11.) Back out of this "Repeat" screen by selecting "< New Event" (or "< Edit Event" if you are editing an existing event)
