iTunes 12.7 crashes after opening

I updated iTunes to 12.7 on Windows 7 Enterprise. The automatic update failed, but I was able to install using the manual download method. Every time I started iTunes it crashed in Windows either immediately or after a few seconds, making it unusable.

Since I wanted to back up my phone, I uninstalled 12.7 and reinstalled 12.6.2 which works fine. Is there a new iTunes update coming to fix 12.7 so it will run in Windows?

I'm sure eventually there will be an update.  But since no one here works for Apple, we can't say when or if it will "fix" your problem.  BTW, if you want to continue backing up your iOS 10.3.3 device, do not upgrade to iOS 11.  That will require iTunes 12.7 (at least) to backup and restore.

Actually, you should be able to install & run iTunes 12.7 on your Windows 7 Enterprise computer.  (I'm not necessarily recommending you do, but ...) Have you tried turingtest2's procedure to remove & install iTunes?  See the Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components section in:

As far as I can tell iTunes 12.6.2.20 supports iOS 11.

Thanks for the link for how to remove and reinstall all of the components. I'll try it when I have enough free time.
