How to get apps to iPhone 4 through Appstore?

I'm using an iPhone 4 with an up to date iOS 7.1.2. So I can not get most apps through Appstore like Facebook, Messenger,Viber etc.

I have a fix for that problem that I never tried. So involving a Computer and connecting it to my iPhone device through iTunes for Windows is that;

Does the Appstore access from that iTunes on Computer do the job?

Really appreciate a relevant solution or a fix!
