AirDrop stopped working after ios11 update on i...

Frequently  airdropped photos between iphone6 and iPhone se before ios11 update.  Updated both phones and now airdrop is not working on the se.  AirDrop works fine between iphone6 and ipad.

I have resest the network setting. Toggled WiFi and Bluetooth on and off mulitple times and soft reset the phone (power and home button).

what else can I try to get it working?

all devices on iOS 11.0.1
