errors while downloading macOS

Dear Fellow MacBook Air users,

I have just migrated from windows a few months ago due to my ignorance I had accidentally erased all the data on my Mac. The OS had to be reinstalled which was done at a local service centre. Following this I felt the need to have a bootable flash disk in the event of a reoccurance.  To do so one of the steps involved downloading the OS Sierra from the App Store.  While doing so, I lost net connectivity and the download stopped. This left a residual tab on my purchased apps list which is not continuing the download even after getting connected. The Tab shows no signs of updating and I am unable to delete it either.

I have upgraded to MacOS High Sierra but the 'failed download' remains as it is.

I am attaching a screenshot if it can be of any assistance.
