MBP USB Connection to iPhone cycling off and on.

The connection iPhone 6 plus cycles off and on from one USB port, making that dinging noise every time it reconnects. I'd like to resolve this problem and determine if it's a hardware or software issue.

Thanks.

Greetings, prunellla.

After reviewing your post, it appears that your iPhone 6 Plus keeps disconnecting and reconnecting causing a dinging sound. I'm happy to help.

Resetting the NVRAM appears to have solved the problem.

Thanks so much for your help!

You're welcome, prunellla. We're glad we could help!

Have a great day!

It turns out to have been either a fluke or a very temporary fix. I've gone through and troubleshot with both articles and it is still cycling.

Some other details is that I've confirmed that the problem doesn't lie with any hardware exterior to the MBP (cords, iPhone)

Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance!
