Flags showing in Mac Mail inbox with their desc...

In the inbox listing of messages in Mac Mail on my iMac, both flags & their descriptions are showing. I only want the flags to show.

• Rebuilding the mailbox didn't solve the problem
• Starting up in safe mode and rebooting didn't solve the problem

I asked for help with the problem before and accidentally marked it solved, even though it wasn't. Trying again, because I haven't been able to find a solution to this problem.
