iPad Pro not recovering cell service

It has happened two times so far ... I'll lose cellular service on my 128GB, AT&T iPad Pro. My iPhone 6 Plus will still have service (the point being that the area I am in has cell service).

I'll turn Airplane mode on on the iPad and then turn it back off hoping that it will reconnect to cell service. I get Searching and then I get No Service.

If I reboot the iPad, I then get cell service back even if I haven't moved a foot from the location where I am getting No Service once it's lost.

I'm not sure why I'm losing wireless service and it's extremely frustrating that cell service doesn't recover.

Anyone else seeing this issue?

Thanks in advance.

I am having this Same issue. Did you find any solution? Thanks

Apple had me reset network settings and a few things like that. I haven't experienced it again since though I have had a lot of wifi issues since where I am asked repeatedly to reset the iCloud password.

One thing that came to mind ... I had my iPad on my passenger seat. The electronics in passenger airbag seat sensors may have goofed up the radio in the iPad. I have not had the issue since not putting the iPad on my seat any longer. So I'm not sure if that is it or the network reset did it. And I'm not saying the problem is gone for good.

Good luck and please let me know what you find.

I'm having the same problem.  Reseting the network settings din't help.  I have to restart my iPad every time I need cell service...multiple times a day.  Argh...

Same happening here on a new iPad Pro 9.7 on EE UK, connection drops every day or two and won't restore until I restart the iPad. Toggling airplane mode or cellular data makes no difference.

I'm having the same problem. I get "no service" occasionally every couple days, except for one day last week when it did it 6 times. I talked to support last week by phone, they were supposed to send me instructions to reset my network settings but I didn't get it, so haven't done that. Late last week a "sim failure" message popped up. Saturday I went to Verizon and got a new sim. All was well till this morning, I have no service again. Rebooting seems to be the only cure.

Same exact issue for several months.  It's completely random, but always requires rebooting iPad.  Very irritating!

If you can't connect to a cellular network or cellular data - Apple Support

I am randomly experiencing the same problem with a 12" iPad Pro.  Every couple of days, it shows "no service" (no WiFi and no Cellular) despite my iPhone 6s Plus showing 3-5 stars of LTE connection.

Only thing that fixes it Is to reboot.  Which fixes it every time.  Happened with several iOS 10 betas, the iOS final release, and now with iOS 10.1 beta. Quite a pain.

I am also having this issue. I usually just restart mine and it comes back. Thankfully, I use wifi most of the time. I am on Verizon.

I Have this issue on a new iPad Pro 9.7, I put the SIM in my iPad 4 and I don't have the issue.

its clearly an issue with the pro.

I Have reset my network settings and it only fixes it, short term as it restarts the iPad as well.

WiFi works fine all the time, it's just the cellular that drops out.

Come on apple how about listening to customers and fix this

Have you tried getting a SIM directly from your cell provider and replacing the one you have? Have you called AppleCare or made a Genius Bar appointment? Apple isn't here and aren't listening here.

I Am having the exact same problem and I just brought the IPad. It's annoying to having it reset it

I've been having the same issues. I suspected it had something to do with my using both the embedded SIM and an Apple SIM, but either way it's extremely frustrating.

Software Updates and Reset Network Settings does nothing for me. It will work for awhile after a reboot though.

iPad might have a failing SIM card reader made apparently worse by IOS 10.1. Rebooting with initialise re-reading the SIM card but it at best a very short term "fix". If a replacement SIM suffers the same repeat failures, you need Apple to check your IPad.
