High Sierra APFS question

Hello.

I owns a few Macs, which I will be upgrading to macOS High Sierra when it becomes available.

They currently have macOS Sierra installed. the thing is: I use several softwares (I'm a designer) so I'm definitely going to wait several days till I'm sure that the softwares I use the most are compatible, BUT, my question is...

I don't like to upgrade macOS versions: I prefer to clean install them on a formatted SSD. Since, starting with macOS High Sierra, macOS new file formats will be APFS, my doubt is... will it affect the files I already have (my personal documents). Is there any change they might became corrupted or something like that?

Will it be safer to 'upgrade' without a clean installation?

P.S.: Also, In intend to do the same with iOS 11... to wait a few days before installing. Will it affect my personal data in any way? Thank you.
