iCloud photo storage

I recently stored more than one thousand photos directly from my camera to the iCloud.  I want to use Photoshop Elements 15 to edit some of them.  First, I'd like to sort through and delete many of them and then edit some of the remaining images?  I'm having trouble creating an efficient workflow.  Suggestions?
