how do you lock email to prevent accidental deletion

There is no option for that.

Make sure you are prompted (ask to delete) when you delete e-mail in Settings.

I get so many variety of profession news emails and junk that I have to mass delete at time and don't want to delete something important. Hoping a way to lock a single email to prevent this. Thanks

Backup important e-mails is the only way.
