When will Apple Watch Cellular be supported by ...

Like many of us, we want the latest Watch Cellular. But in the UK only EE support this. Is this simply a period of exclusivity for EE (fair enough, I'm sue they have paid gazzilions for that) .. which I assume will last 3 months (?)... OR as one guy just told me at Vodafone UK, they do not have the technology yet to share the sim onto the Watch? If this later reason is true, it would seem to me us 'non EE' customers may be at least a year away from using the latest Watch?  Come on Apple - what is the story here?

You would need to ask Vodafone. I'm afraid that no-one here can tell you anything about Apple's unannounced plans. You are not talking to Apple here - this is a user-based technical support community.

 

Apple has advised that new carriers are being added all the time.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Indeed I did contact Vodafone, as per my Post, and they say they don't have the technology. My guess (hope) is that this is an exclusive marketing deal with EE. If it is truly technology related I fear the other carriers will be very slow.

It is certainly my understanding that the current unavailability of other UK carriers is for technical, not marketing reasons.
