No internet on my iMac after High Sierra Upgrade

I upgraded my iMac to High Sierra last week, and unfortunately now I do not have internet. The machine is connected to Wifi networks but when I use Safari I get the 'Safari Can't Open the Page' message.

I have another Mac (Yosemite OS) connected to the network that is working fine.

Proxies are all unticked. Processor is 2.7ghz intel core i5.

Advice appreciated.

Try rebooting if you haven't done so since the upgrade.

Try going to System Preferences > Network > Advanced > Wi-Fi. Select the network in question, and remove it from the list. Then try to re-join it.

You could also try an SMC reset: Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support.

Thank you

I have rebooted, done an SMC Reset, and removed and reinstated the WIFI networks.

It's not working.

Uninstalling my VPN worked for me: took care of all the issues that started after installing High Sierra.  Days of ripping my hair out and having to reinstall my OS/start over and in the end the VPN was the culprit
