Can't delete some photos on iPad iOS 9.2.1, and...

When I select a photo in the Photos app on my iPad, the trash can icon usually remains greyed out and I can't delete the photo. Only for very few photos the trash can icon is blue and I can delete them.

How can I delete any photo on my iPad as I wish?

And by the way, any idea how I can batch delete all photos on my iPad (without factory resetting the iPad, of course)?

Thanks,

lotlorien

Makes sense. Try this...

Connect your iPad to your Mac, Open iTunes, Select the iPad icon on the top left, then on the window that appears select Photos and then do a sync with nothing selected, i.e., uncheck all folders.

Where did these photos come from? If you synced them from your PC or Mac using iTunes they can only be deleted by using iTunes, deselecting them, and re-syncing again.

Hi elcpu

Thanks. True, most of the photos are synced from the Photos app on my iMac. Where/How in iTunes can I select photos to delete and resync?

Thanks,

Thanks, that did work!

My pleasure...

Hye elcpu,

I have the same problem, but none of my photos are synced, they're mostly screenshots and normal pictures. I normally could delete them, but for some reason, they can't delete. If you know, or don't know the solution, hank you anyways!
