Can I change the year of a song?

I want to arrange a playlist by the year that the songs came out/were popular, but I can't figure out how to do it. Clicking on name, artist, and album in my library lets me edit them, but it won't let me do that with year.   No, they aren't automatically correct.  Some were published again later, such as on a Greatest Hits album; some are listed by the date a compilation came out.

Am I missing something?  Is there a way to do this?

Right-click on a song, select Get Info. You can edit all tags in that window. Note there are multiple tags. You can’t edit streamed songs, only those in your library.

Thank you! I have some music for my parents in my library, and I knew Bing Crosby wasn't still putting out new music 20-30 years after he died.  Need it for some of my own, too.  Much appreciated.
