Problem with Garage band songs exported to iTun...

Choir songs I've exported from Garage Band into iTunes play fine on my macbook pro but not on my synced iPhone 7 or my iPad pro.  They are just greyed out and I get the message "Item Not Available".  I am on the latest iOS (11.0.3) and Sierra (10.12.6). I don't subscribe to Apple Music or Apple Match, not that it would help as these are my own recordings. Any help would be appreciated.
