Mail.app sending everything to junk mail

For months now Mail.app puts all of my mail into the junk mail folder. Junk mail filtering is turned off. I have also turned off junk mail filtering on the server side and turned off all sorting rules. This only happens on one account on my computer, Mail.app behaves normally in all other accounts. Every day I have to select all junk mail and drag it to my inbox and then waste my time manually sorting.

How can I completely obliterate Mail.app, re-install, and still retain my accounts and mailboxes?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

specs:

Mail.app 10.3

macOS Sierra 10.12.6

my suggestion would be to back up your phone on your PC/iTunes app.

How does that help? I'm not having any issues with my phone.

Since it is working correctly on all of your other accounts this probably is not a problem on your computer it is an issue with the mail provider you are using. Check your settings using their webmail services.

Okay I think I need to clarify a bit.

First, I'm referring to Mail.app, the email client that comes with OS X. I'm talking about a Mac, not an iPhone or anything iOS.

Second, when I said "account" I was referring to user accounts on the Mac, not email accounts. Thus mail coming from the same provider(s) gets treated differently depending on which "Macintosh User Account" I am currently logged into. The problem is the same whether the mail comes from iCloud, google, or runbox.

I have already researched and troubleshooted the problem. The fault lies with some corrupted user settings in Mail.app. So to reiterate my original question: What is the best way to "reset" Mail.app without losing your mail?
