2011 iMac os x based system "locked my hard drive"

Hi all,

I've searched uncle google and couldn't find what I wanted...

as above, I managed to "give" my 500GB HDD to about 2GB worth of os x base system partition, and as a result, its locked my hard drive, which means I cant do a fresh install of High Sierra.

Internet Recovery does nothing, Disk Utility doesnt give me an option to do anything to my 500GB HDD..

I'm really needing this machine to go, so any replies or guidance in the right direction would be much appreciated.
