coping files from ipad to zip drive

I am trying to copy pictures from my ipad to a zip drive. There is no slot for my zip drive on my ipad and I do not have the ipad connected to a computer.  Please advise.

You cannot connect a Zip Drive to an iPad. There is no support for that, and only limited support for some external hard drives.

If you need to store the photos in a zip drive you will need to download the photos from the iPad to a computer and then use the computer to copy them to the Zip Drive.

When I hear “zip” drive I think Iomeg Zip Drive, and wonder how does anyone use such a thing, with anything anymore?  I still have a parallel port 100MB Zip drive in a closet somewhere, btw

I am a 75 year old man who started with an Apple 2e and I did not find your comment helpful or respectful or funny.  Because I am no longer in the mainstream of the apple world I did not know the proper name for the 32g flash drive that I am trying to transfer my pictures onto.  I thought there maybe a cable to do the transfer from my wife's ipad since she is running out of space.

If the question did not make sense perhaps an inquiry follow up question might have been an appropriate way to get clarification.

I have no idea what your age has to do with anything?  And I am no spring chicken myself. Please don’t go looking for offense where none was intended.  It’s an Internet forum, not a face to face conversation. Context is an inherent limitation we all need to be aware of.   For whatever apparent and unintended offense I seem to have caused, I apologize.
