TV app on iPad not showing family sharing purch...

I can't see our family purchases only in the TV app on my iPad. I can see apps purchased by my family on my iPad, and I can see the movies I want to get to on iTunes on my MacBook... I just can't access family sharing on the TV app. For the apps and on iTunes on the MacBook I have to select the user to see what they've purchased, but I don't see that option in the TV app.

 

Is there a magical finger swipe or something I'm missing? I've tried signing out and in, turning the iPad on and off, and we've double checked all the account info. Everything is fully updated. Really frustrating!

I understand from your post that you cannot see your family members movies in the TV app. To view your family members movies in the TV app you will need to go to the iTunes Store app and view their purchases. Tap the the cloud next to the movie you want to download. Once downloaded it should then appear in your TV app. The following link will provide you with the steps on how to download a family member's purchases:

It is crazy that this limitation still exists why not allow the TV app to see other content in the family. Try telling a kid to go to iTunes and search from the movie dad bought years ago, unbelievable this is still a known and accepted limitation
