Finder Window Not Showing Usual Options

Normally when I open a "new finder window" at the left there will be a list like:

Applications
Documents
Desktop
Downloads

Stuff like that. Then suddenly, last night, out of nowhere, it just stopped showing me those options. I haven't downloaded anything recently nor did I even make a change like this on purpose but it's super annoying and I can't get it back mainly because I don't know how it happened in the first place or why. Is there a way to fix this because ugh I can barely use my computer without it.

In Finder go to View menu and choose "Show Sidebar".
