　　1. preface to ……的前言，如：

　　An essay written as a preface to a more detailedwork.

　　2. preparation for 准备，如：

　　They have made good preparation for the upcomingelections.

　　他们对即将到来的选举作了充分的准备。

　　3. preference to sth 优先，如：

　　In considering people for jobs, we give preference to those with some experience.

　　对于求职者，我们优先考虑有一定经验的人。

　　4. proposal for sth 建议，如：
