Use advanced search in Video Manager

Search by video ID

You can use videos IDs to search for up to 140 videos at a time.

  1. Go to your My Videos page. Get there by clicking your account icon > Creator Studio. On the left, click Video Manager > Videos.
  2. Open the advanced search options by clicking the drop-down arrow in the search box.
  3. In the Video ID search box, enter the video IDs separated with spaces or commas.
  4. Click Search.

Note: If any of your video IDs start with a hyphen, put quotes around that video ID ("-videoid") to make sure it's identified as a video ID (and not an advanced search operator that excludes it from the search).

Use advanced search operators

You can use advanced search operators to see a list of only the videos you're searching for.

  1. Go to your My Videos page. Get there by clicking your account icon > Creator Studio. On the left, click Video Manager > Videos.
  2. In the search box, type one of the advanced search operators listed below. For some, you'll also need to enter in a search term, like a word in a video title or description.
  3. Click the search icon .
Search operator When to use it

is:public

is:private

is:unlisted

is:draft

 Search for videos that are public, private, unlisted, or uploaded as draft but not yet published.

You can use this in combination with other search terms. Example: is:private title:big shows videos that are private and have the word "big" in the title.
tag:[tag name] Search for videos with a tag that you've applied.

Example: tag:games shows a list of all the videos with the tag "games."
##"[tag name]" Search for videos with a tag that you've applied. Type the name of your tag in quotes after ## to search for that tag.

Example: ##"Game Reviews" shows a list of all the videos with the tag "Game Reviews."

length>[time]

length>=[time]

length=[time]

length<=[time]

length<[time]

 Search for videos according to their length in seconds. Example: length>60 shows a list of video longer than 60 seconds.

You can use these in combination. Example: length>60 length<100 shows any video longer than 60 seconds but shorter than 100 seconds.

before:[date]

after:[date]

 Search for videos based on when you uploaded them.

Example: after:2012-03-01 shows videos uploaded after March 1, 2012.
title:[word in title] Search for videos with specific words in the title.

Example: title:food shows videos that have the word "food" in the title.
description:[word in description] Search for videos with specific words in the description.

Example: description:food shows videos that have the word "food" in the description.
- To exclude something from your search, use a hyphen before it. You can use this in combination with other search terms.

Example: title:big -is:private shows videos that have the word "big" in the title and aren't private.
OR To search for videos matching one term or another term, separate them by OR (in all caps).

Example: title:big OR title:food shows videos that have either "big" or "food" in the title.
([search terms]) To search for a group of words, put them in parentheses.

Example: title:(big food) shows videos with "big" and "food" in their title.
is:paid Search for videos that require a paid subscription to view. This feature not available in all countries.
id:{[video ID]} To search for videos that match specific video IDs, type id: and list the video IDs with brackets around them. Example: id:{video ID A, video ID B, video ID C} shows videos A, B, and C.

Note: If any of your video IDs start with a hyphen, put quotes around that video ID ("-videoid") to make sure it's identified as a video ID (and not an advanced search operator that excludes it from the search).
