Postpartum Depression is Common產後抑鬱症是常見的

Depression doesn’t feel the same for everyone. How often symptoms occur, how long they last, and how intense they may feel can be different for each person.

抑鬱症的感受因人而異:症狀出現頻率、持續時間、感受的強烈程度每個人的體會都不一樣。

Lasting sad, anxious, or “empty” mood.

Feelings of hopelessness or pessimism.

Feelings of guilt, worthlessness, or helplessness.

Feelings of irritability or restlessness.

感到易怒或躁動

Loss of interest in hobbies and activities.

Loss of energy.

Problems concentrating, recalling details, and making decisions.

Difficulty falling asleep or sleeping too much.

Postpartum depression is depression that occurs after having a baby. Feelings of postpartum depression are more intense and last longer than those of “baby blues,” a term used to describe the worry, sadness, and tiredness many women experience after having a baby. “Baby blues” symptoms typically resolve on their own within a few days.

產後抑鬱症是一種生完孩子後發生的抑鬱症。產後抑鬱症的感覺要比“產後憂傷”更強烈,持續時間更長,這個詞用來形容許多婦女生孩子後的憂慮、悲傷和疲勞。“產後憂傷”的症狀一般在數天內會自行消失。

CDC research shows about 1 in 9 women experiences postpartum depression.

美國疾控中心研究顯示,9個婦女中就有1位經曆產後抑鬱症。

Crying more often than usual.

Feelings of anger.

Withdrawing from loved ones.

離開所愛的人

Feeling numb or disconnected from your baby.

Worrying that you will hurt the baby.

擔憂你會傷害到孩子

Feeling guilty about not being a good mom or doubting your ability to care for the baby.

覺得自己無法成為好的母親而有罪惡感,或懷疑自己照顧嬰兒的能力

Treatment

治療

Depression is treatable and most people get better with treatment. If you think you may be depressed, the first step to seeking treatment is to talk to your health care provider.

抑鬱症是可治療的,大部分患者治療後有好轉。如果你認為自己可能情緒低落,那麼尋求治療的第一步就是去和你的醫療保健醫生交談。

When discussing medications with your provider, let him or her know if you are pregnant, thinking about becoming pregnant, or breastfeeding. Your provider can decide if taking medications while pregnant or breastfeeding is right for you.

當與醫生討論你的藥物治療時,告知醫生你是否已懷孕、打算懷孕或在哺乳。你的醫生可以決定你在孕期或哺乳期服藥是否合適。
