How can I disable User Account Control (UAC) in Windows Vista and Windows 7?

User Account Control (or UAC) is included in Windows Vista and Windows 7 to help prevent unauthorized changes to your computer. The UAC forces users that are part of the local administrators group to act as if they were regular users with no administrative privileges.

If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, you need to turn off the UAC to ensure TradeManager has installed completely.

How to disable UAC in your Computer if you are using Windows 7:

Go to User Account Control Settings. Type in UAC, or go to the System and Security section. Click on the Change User Account Control Settings link.

 

 

You can also type in this command from the Run menu: C:\Windows\System32\UserAccountControlSettings.exe.

To turn off UAC, move the slider to the Never Notify position, and then click OK. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

To turn UAC back on, move the slider to choose when you want to be notified, and then click OK.  If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Note: You will need to reboot your computer for UAC to be turned off. When your computer has finished rebooting, install the latest version of TradeManager at https://trademanager.alibaba.com/.

How to disable UAC in your Computer if you are using Windows Vista:

Open Control Panel. Under User Account and Family settings click Add or remove user account. Click on one of the user accounts, for example you can use the Guest account. Under the user account click the Go to the main User Account page link. Under Make changes to your user account click on the Change security settings link. In Turn on User Account Control (UAC) to make your computer more secure, uncheck Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer. Click on the OK button. You will be prompted to reboot your computer.
