iPad Mini 2 screen frozen halfway through downl...

Hi all,

 

My neighbours iPad Mini 2 was downloading the latest iTunes update when it just froze and it now has a black screen showing the connection lead and the iTunes logo. At the top of the screen in very small letters it says support.apple/ipad/restore

 

I have tried the usual fixes but after several hours nothing, but nothing seems to make it update or even restore.

 

Any advice would be gratefully received.   Bill.

I see that your neighbor's iPad mini 2 was downloading the latest iTunes update when it froze with a black screen. It's now showing the connect to iTunes screen. It's important to make sure that you can get the updates installed, so I'm happy to provide some support.
