"Password cannot be set" when encrypting a back...

Hi,

I need to transfer all of my data off my device to prepare it for repair. However I needed my Health data backed up so I checked "Encrypt backup". I typed in one of my common passwords and clicked okay but it came up with an error saying the password could not be set. This worried me a little as I have not backed up in 4 months so I tried to do an unencrypted backup first in case something went wrong - but it would not let me.

I then removed my iPhone and plugged it back in and now encryption is selected and it is asking me for a password to decrypt backups. I tried the password that it did not accept along with all of my other passwords, Windows admin password, current and old iCloud passwords and none are working.

Resetting the phone is not an option. This is an obvious bug with iTunes and it must set a random/default password - so I am just wondering what that is?
