Try entering the card's details on your computer's iTunes (Account > View My Account menu option) instead

It says that my payment method is declined, the first card I used is owned by my father then I am now trying to put my own card

Now it says that: to make purchases you must choose a new payment type.

The card is a 'proper' credit card, not a prepaid card (nor a debit card) ?

For a card to have a chance of being accepted it needs to be registered to the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, and have been issued by a bank in the country where you are (and therefore the country which is on your iTunes account).
