iMac 5k Display Resolution Issues

I got a brand new iMac 5k.  All bells and whistles.  On initial install I told it to restore from Time Capsule Backup and then aborted that and did install new.  I only mention that in case it messed up some stuff in that.

When I go into System Preferences->Displays the default screen resolution is 2560x1440 and the MAX is 3200x1800.  No options anywhere for 5k (5120x2880).  I don't get what is going on.  I re-installed MAC OS X (using command-R) and having same issue,

I also reset PRM using the option/command/p/r.

Anyone get this?  Its almost as if the drivers for the display are hosed.

Confused about scaling on 5k iMac

To have access to 5k resolution, you just need to press the ctrl key while clicking the "scaled" button.
it will look like this:

I tried to do this by holding down the "control" key and it didn't work. What worked was holding down the "option" key.

Thanks!
