Is $800 CAD good for a 2015 edition macbook pro...

Someone is selling a 6 month old MacBook Pro with 256gb ssd & 8 gb ram for $800 CAD. I checked the serial number on the Apple website & it really is 6 months old since purchase. Still has warranty until April of 2018. Just wondering if this is a good deal or not. Seems like it since the 2015 edition MacBook pros are still $1300 CAD at staples. 

Are you buying it out of the trunk of some shady character's car in a dimly lit alley in  crime ridden section of town? If so it is likely too good a deal to believe. if you are buying it from a trusted family member and they have the original receipt then it may be a good deal.
