iPad suddenly can’t connect to Internet

Hey-
I’ve had my iPad for a few weeks now and love it. It’s been no problem.
This morning I woke it up to check emails and got a message to say I’m not connected to the Internet.
The same happened with Safari, and any other Internet based app.
I shut it down and restarted but that didn’t help. I plugged it into iTunes and saw there was an update available so I installed it in case it helped. But still nothing.
I have a full signal strength from my wireless router.
What might be causing the problem?

In Settings, reset networks and reboot the phone. That often does the trick

OK - just tried that. It asked me for my router password, and again it connects to the router (I have four bars on my iPad wireless icon); but still when I open an app that requires the Internet it says “You must connect to the Internet to use this application.”
I know the router is working OK cos I’m connected to it on my desktop Mac in order to write this!
Any other thoughts?
The last time I had something like this, it was a problem with DNS server addresses. Are other devices on the same wifi network connecting OK?
Problem solved - probably should've done this before I posted here!
Shut down my desktop, and the router. Waited a minute and fired it up again; now iPad is back online (I'm writing this reply on it!)

Well, like I said above, my problem seemed to be with my router. Turning everything off and back on got everything going again. So I’d try that as a possibility - it’ll at least show if it’s your router or your iPad at fault.
If not try the Network reset suggestion that someone suggested earlier in this thread.

I already reset the Network Settings on my iPad. But I'm not entirely sure if I'd want to reset the router, since my older brother is in charge of it and the fact that I am not the best in technical doing. Will reseting the router change the password?

Got it. I overlooked the simple things. The password was wrong. Should have looked at that first.

Thanks for the help. It is a help to check with others to get the juices moving.
Resetting the router usually sets the password back to whatever it's set to at the factory.
I found that I did not need to reset the router, instead I just went into the Ipad settings, into the wi-fi then clicked on the network, clicked on "forget this network" then re entered the password. This gave me a proper IP address without messing with the router.

I have the same problem. No internet, no email on my iPad - just all of a sudden. I have two other wireless devices in my house that are connecting fine, so it must be a setting on my iPad. Can you help?
P.S. I have rebooted the iPad, re-entered my wireless key# in the network settings and those things did not work.
Try the following:

1. In Settings, General, Rest, tap to reset network settings, restart the iPad, then reconnect
2. Reboot your router
