my cursor jumps to different places in my docum...

How do I stop my cursor from jumping to different places in my document while typing in Word documents, emails, PowerPoint and other programs?  I am using a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013), 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory, and macOS Sierra v.10.12.6.

You are likely inadvertently touching the track pad with your hands as you are typing. Concentrate on holding your hands above the keyboard rather than resting your hands on the computer while typing.
