Max OS X El Capitan

Hello, I have Mac OS X El Capitan since 2009, version 10.11.6 and with that computer I bought Creative Suite CS4, Student Edition. Now, I haven´t used these programs since 2012 and I´d like to uninstall the Creative Suite. The problem is I need to deactivate the programs first but I can´t even open them any longer. I´ve tried to open, click Help and Deactivate but its not possible. Can anyone explain to me how to deactivate these programs? Thanks!

El Cap was released in 2015.

Hello again, thank you for your answer. Sorry, I upgraded from Mac OS X Snow Leopard (2009) to El Cap in 2015. So the Creative Suite is CS4. I read the information about how to uninstall and that is not a problem. The problem is what i need to do before the uninstallation. I want to Deactivate the applications first and it seems impossible as I can´t even open the applications anymore on my Mac.
