Logic Pro X New EQ lag / high CPU Usage

Hi all

I recently upgraded to High Sierra on my iMac 5K and ever since the upgrade I have noticed that Logic Pro X's New EQ causes huge lag and high cpu usgage. The mouse moves really slow across the screen and causes the CPU to spike. I read similar threads about this issue and I was wondering does anyone have a resolution for this?

Any info appreciated.

Do you mean the EQ analyser or is it causing havoc even when the GUI closed or the analyser is off?

What do you mean by huge lag?

The EQ Gui causes the mouse pointer to move ridiculously slow and the cpu usage in Logic Pro X increases vastly.

The lag happens when the analyser is active. This seems to be a graphical problem! This only started when I upgraded to High Sierra.
