Sierra: where is "Open folders in new window"

Since Sierra, I can't find my beloved "Open folders in new window". Has Apple removed that feature??

I navigate within folders all day long, using my keyboard. The last thing I want is to be forced to use a modifier key in order to accomplish something that was matter-of-fact before Sierra. Am I missing something? I know the workaround is to use the Command key but I don't want to use an extra key. Thanks for any leads!

Try Finder/Preferences/General and uncheck the box at the bottom.

Do you mean "in new window as opposed to "in new tab"? There is a preference in Finder for that.

If instead you want every folder you double-click on to open in a new window instead of replacing the currently open folder, then that "spatial Finder" behavior of classic Mac OS is still available if you hide the toolbar - this has been so for years and continues to work the same in Sierra.

Try Finder/Preferences/General and uncheck the box at the bottom.

Same problem. The bottom option on General is LCD font smoothing, no windows/tabs option to be seen

Finder's Preferences/General, not System Preferences/General.

Muchas gracias. Finally opening new windows to documents this way, thanks for the tip
