Ipad not holding charge

My Sons ipad is not holding a charge, it has to be kept on charge and even then sometimes it turns off. Any ideas? Do they have a battery which can be replaced?

Make an appointment at Apple store For a battery check /replacement

Go to iCloud make sure iCloud back up is on Then backup now over your wifi

When you get new battery set ipad back up over your wifi when it asks if you want to use iCloud backup Say yes to get your apps and data back.

If you live to far from Apple store go to Support.apple.com They will send you a post paid box.
