False marketing?

How can a mac book pro be allowed to be called pro when the maximum ram is 8 gb without being false marketing? And no - this is not a joke.

How can a Ford car have several versions of the same model?   Engines, fittings, door numbers?

How can your question have anything to do with the forum you chose to put it in.

Please provide a citation for the definition of "Pro" you're using.

My MacBook Pro has 16 gigs.

Only the MacBook Air is limited to 8 GB RAM. All other models of Mac, including the MacBook Pro, can be configured with up to 16 GB RAM.

Late 2015, Mac book pro Retina. And of course you can buy another version. That is always an option but I still think its amazing that you can get away with calling a "modern" computer "PRO" and have a limit to 8 gb ram. The computer is not mine, a friend who is in to graphic, working on a mac book pro having a hard time dealing with his job because a slow computer and wanted to upgrade. I was truly surprised and not so impressed...

There is no legal (or even generally accepted) definition of "Pro". People should research the device they intend to buy and make their selection based on actual specs rather than the name of device.
