mac os sierra mail settings have junk settings ...

I have not changed my Mail preferences for junkmail settings, but since upgrading to MacOS Sierra, junk ends up in my mail, good mail ends up in my junk filter.  Has anything changed in junkmail settings?

I finally fixed it by going into junk mail settings and picking reset (I think that's what it was called) to completely reset all learned junk mail filters and start over.  It has worked fine since.  Something got hosed in the upgrade.

I'm seeing the same thing!  All of a sudden, email I've received almost every day for a year+ just fine is being marked as junk and even after marking non-junk it throws the next email in junk again.   To make matters worse, some legitimate junk mail is now getting through as legitimate.  It used to work quite well and now I'm having to mark about 10 messages a day as not junk.

Something's very broken.

Hello !

Please open mail & mail preferences , click on junk mail , no the settings in Mac OS Sierra are same using Mac OS X El - Capitan .

Thanks !

my junk mail settings are the same as above, but my filtering is still going wrong.

Please follow the article : Mail for Mac: If junk mail filters aren’t working correctly

i have already followed all the advice in that article, it has not stopped junk from getting into my inbox, nor from good email from getting into my junk folder. All worked fine before Sierra.

I have the same issue. I had my settings working very well prior to the update. I have been trying all these suggestions as well as trying my own ideas. Nothing has solved the issue.

I have tried everything suggested, and have reset twice. The same mail is being marked as junk every day!

And is very annoying!  Absolutely None of the suggestion have helped in the slightest.  It worked perfectly before I upgraded to Sierra!

No luck here as well. I keep trying the suggestions here and at other sites along with my own ideas and tweaks. NO change. Nightmare.

Has anyone figured out how to change the Mail rules to handle junkmail with no content? (obviously the junkmail filter can't be relied upon to handle these?)

Same here.  I have gone through all the steps several times, including resetting my junk mail filtering and selecting the appropriate settings in Preferences, but stuff I repeatedly mark as junk keep ending up in my inbox.  This degrades the usefulness of my Mac, and I would appreciate it if Apple would pay attention.
