frozen laptop 2017 , 11”

My laptop froze after recharging? Cursor did move initially, but now it is frozen too? Help?

Hold the power button down for about 10 seconds until the Mac is fully shut down, then boot into Safe Mode: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262.
