Audio Port Red Light Mac Book Pro

Hey, So I've had this problem for about 2 months now where there's a red laser light coming out of my audio/headphone port. I've read posts on this that recommend blowing into the port. This will often work, but only allowing audio to come out of the internal speakers for a few seconds at a time. Most of the time I'll plug headphones into the port and audio will be released into headphones, but sometimes that also doesn't work. When I use an audio interface for music production, then yes audio does work as normal.

Any solutions to how to remove this red light from the audio port permanently? Is something reversed in the port that is causing this? Is there any way to invert the port back to normal?

The red LED light is the Digital signal, being shown because your port is stuck in digital mode.

The physical plug and jack is primitive, and it sometimes takes inserting and wiggling a handful to a dozen times to set it straight.
