Text message inconsistencies

I have an iPhone 6s plus; latest update installed. It has been a great phone.  Recently text messages are having trouble sending.  Seems to usually be the ones I'm sending to non iPhone users.  Any ideas?

These messages are sent using SMS which is completely provided and governed by your cellular carrier.  Ask them for assistance.
