MacBook pro, mid 2012, freezing

I have a mid-2012 MacBook Pro that I've put a 1TB drive in place of the CD, swapped the other drive for an SSD, and put 16gb of RAM in. When it works, it works GREAT. However, I've been having problems with it freezing - sometimes the screen will glitch out and it will freeze. Here's the report from last time it gave me one:

The first thing I would try is putting the original RAM back in and see how it runs.

Sorry I didn't reply earlier! I ended up swapping the logic board out and now it works (kind of)!

Thanks for posting back. What's "kind of" mean?

The problem now is - when I boot up, the progress bar gets to about 1/2 way and then the screen goes black. I've found that if I attach an external monitor to it, the screen comes on, and then I can disconnect the external and the laptop screen stays on. I can put the computer to sleep and it wakes up fine - it's only when it's booting macOS, I can boot into my Windows partition with no problems! Outside of carrying an external monitor around with me when I think I'll need to reboot, does anyone have any suggestions?
