Custom ringtones with the new iTunes.

In the new iTunes release, I am instructed to re-download my ringtones.  What if I created my own using a fraction of a tune in my iTunes library?  I cannot download that.  How to I manage that in the future?

it said in support that on a mac with USB connection it will support drag and drop to iPhone

what i would really like to find out now is how we do artwork for the ringtone... since i am missing one of mine. not seeing "editor" same way in this version 12.7
