My MacBook Air got hacked

Hi there, so 3 days ago when I was waiting for my flight at John-F-Kennedy Airport, my MacBook Air got frozen and after turning it back on, now it is asking for the 4-digit-pass code that I never set before. I received a letter in my Gmail saying that my MacBook got locked and I need to pay 50$ to Bitcoin in order to get the access code. I don't know what to do, please help me guys,

Do not pay the ransom. More than likely they will take the money and you'll never hear from them again. Bring your Mac along with proof of purchase to any Apple Store. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar.
