ac power causes kernal panic

It started with a black screen not waking from sleep.

Then it started to hard freeze the purple and green colors on screen

Now it kernel panics or hard crashes only when I use AC power!!!

The battery works fine or is it just because it hasn't gotten hot enough?

Why then hardcrash only when I plug in AC power?

I tried booting from OS X clone USB it freezes grey black progress about one fifth booting screen

Then tried optical snow leopard disc to boot from

It was installing fine on battery

But once I plugged in the AC mag plug?

It hard crashes with acid screen

Or again upon SMC reset after tone I hold option

Then try again using battery now kernel Panic

Is this just a bad motherboard

Or gpu?

It's a 2007 MacBook Pro

4Gb ram

SSD 500gb internal or 7200 seagate

I tried both after first crash
